front camber??

so im trying to adjust the front camber on my 88 non turbo, all stock, save the 5 lug conversion. im using my friends race car set up and there doesnt appear to be any way to change it. i have way too much positive camber, like +1.º drivers side and +1º. and thats way too much.

i have already looked in the fsm online and through my crappy haynes manual and they both dont say a thing about changing it. so am i missing something like an idiot or do i need camber bolts/plates( and coilovers to go with it lol)

Ew. Unfortunately here is no way to change the front camber more than a degree or so and if its that far off you should be checking for worn or bent components. The only way to slightly change it is to move the strut tops toward each other and/or get those offset bolts, I think advance sells them.

To change it you would need camber plates and an aftermarket shock setup.

Rotate the front shock mounts. That's the only way to add negative camber in the front short of coilovers and camber plates.

The camber bolts wont work. The hubs will hit the strut when you try to dial in negative camber. You will need camber plates to really dial in significant negative camber.

The stock strut tops have 2 different positions for camber up front. You probably have them in the more positive setting.

yeah look at the top of the upper shock mounts you can see that the shock nuts is a little off set this plate can be turned 360 degrees so you actually have 4 settings, this mount also adjust caster. moving the shock nut to the inner front is the best way. if you move it to the inner rear you'll get a nice turn in but it's extremely twitchy at higher speeds

a friend that i race with was trying to stay in a lower class with his RX7 which required stock suspension, he drilled new holes in his strut tower so he could move his struck plates in 3/4"
he quickly got bored with the class and is now in solo1 which is pretty well unlimited.
