A friend and i were deceived!

I bought my FC from a good friend who bought (actually traded another fc for the one i have) from someone last summer. When my friend showed interested in the car, the seller told him it was a N/A car with a Turbo 2 ECU. So when he sold the car to me we both thought that was the case......I checked the ECU today and its not a turbo unit...its N326. Would it be worth it to actually use a T2 ECU on a N/A car? Any benefits?

The benefit is that you can tell people that the car is faster because it has a N326 ECU.

Personally, I tell people that black RX-7's were the fastest models due to the high-output PZ paint. Some RX-7 TurboII cars had the black paint job, so basically my car has the "turbo paint" lol.

first off "whereiscarmen" your rude.. so the guy didnt know, not many ppl do ...

second .. the guy who sold you the car was prolly lying cause he wanted it sold .

next time someone wants to sell you something ask for pics and or proof in person that (papers or looking at ) that it has/had done/whatever that they are saying it has on/in/done to whatever the case maybe

On a series four car you can put a Turbo ECU in a non turbo car and the car will start and run and if you put a non turbo ECU in a Turbo car the car will run. I mean it will start up and idle and you'll be able to drive it down the street.

Notice the words IDLE, START and RUN. I did NOT say putting a Turbo ECU in a non turbo will make it faster/better/whatever. Just saying if you had, say a turbo car, and for some reason suspected the ECU of being the reason it won't start, then you could just swap a non turbo ECU in the turbo car and if the engine is good, the thing will start up and idle.

A turbo ECU on a non turbo car will make the non turbo car worse. The afm output are different and the boost/pressure sensor input/output are different and although it would be drivable and would idle, the idle would be crummy due mostly to the wrong boost/pressure sensor/afm.

Like the man said, the answer to your question is..............NO.

And Satin Gold Metallic is the faster paint job. The metallic flakes make the chassis more rigid.

the person that sold me the car is one of my best friends and he's pretty knowledgeable out the 13B. I didn't have any reason to think he was lying....the issue here is that he didn't bother to check the ecu or ask for a pic of the ecu b4 the trade (i'm sure he would've accepted the trade regardless of what ecu i had in it...Just sux that the guy who originally owned the car felt the need to lie about it.....

Thanx to everyone else who answered my questions regarding the usefulness of a T2 ECU on a N/A car
