If you don't mind me asking... how much did you pay for the conversion and to get it painted... as I'm hoping to do the same before the end of this year Paint looks really good btw... but MORE PICS

Few more. Still got a bit of interior work to do. Already redid the drivers seat in 'faux' leather, passenger one is next.

Kevin already had the engine in stock, he had gotten a deal on it somewhere, so it only cost installed around $1800. Paint was $1300, I paid 1K originally for the car.
Also, I just installed and ACT street/strip clutch ALL BY MYSELF (With Kevin doing phone/email tech support).

Your car is very nice man. where did you get the seats redone? i'd really like to do that soon in my vert once i get her up and running (this weekend.)

Also mind if i ask about a few details on your paint job? just like basic color, how many coats, just a few details? My vert also needs a new PJ, and i hope mine looks half as good as yours does.

There is a local 'mom and pop' uphostery shop in my area..they do incredible work. I was wondering how they would handle the speakers in the headrest, I didn't want them covered with leather, and holes in the leather are tacky as well.
They covered the speaker parts with cloth with leather in the center, very nice IMO. All for $125.00
The paint I'm not so sure about, I'll ask. I know it's 'standard GM red".. the body guy said he puts 4 coats of clear, I'm unsure of how many coats of base color.
Then, he said red doesn't always take clear very well, peels in a few years. Therefore, he mixes clear with the red. I think that's the way mine is.
Here's the headrest: Zipper is in the bottom if needed as well.

Wow, that looks nice. I'm like 1hr30min away from Seymour and would love new upholstery. The $125 was for the whole seat or the custom work on the speakers (don't know much about re-upholstering pricing)?

You may be old, but that clutch is young & strong.

If you keep the tire size down to 205 with a high treadwear number, the tires will slip before the tranny input gear breaks.
