Stock car? Probably around 15-20 hp gain in the upper rpms. Should be noticable. Try to make sure they are operating correctly, and not just going to be wired open.

do you really get 15-20 in the upper rpms just from opening your 5/6th ports? how exactly do you do this

When they stick, it's usually just gummed up where the rod goes into the LIM.
Apply some penetrating oil & work it loose.
Pull the actuator if you need to (2 nuts, 2 screws).
Pull the LIM only as a last resort.

BTW - I have been giged on this also: You are not gaining 15 HP, you are recovering 15 lost HP..

s5 aux. ports run off of the airpump already. If they don't open, they just need broken loose. Try pushing the plunger down with your finger. If it is difficult, not smooth, or doesn't move at all, then you need to free them up.

Well, i had my engine out at the time, but you should be able to do this with it still in the car. If you look on the passenger side of the engine, just above the exhaust manifold you should see the actuators for the 5th and 6th ports. They look a little like seals bowls with a rod coming out of the top. Try to move those rods, if they don't move then you need to spray the actuators with whatever solvent you have handy or like (PB blaster is my choice) after that you, you try to move them. If it doesn't work, spray repeat until they do.

If they will not move then i guess it's possible they're stuck inside the engine, then it might be better to have kevin look at them.

Not to nit-pick, but that's not an AEM CAI... just an AEM filter. AEM cold air intakes move the filter down to a place where they can actually get cold air, usually behind the right corner of the front bumper, impossible in an FC.

I believe you're Wes's friend, right? On the ports, if the actuators themselves aren't turning the shafts, we might be able to free them up. Probably, though, it's the sleeves themselves that are stuck, and they're WAY inside the engine block. Kevin has to take the intake off to get to them, 3-4 hours work, that's why it's $200. BTW, that's CHEAP, Kevin is cheaper than anyone else.
If you'd like me to look at it to see if it's the actuators or not, feel free to bring it by, always cool to have another '7' in the driveway. On my new vert, one of my actuators was sticking, the other one, however, has stuck sleeves (job for Kevin). One works normally now, the other one I 'encouraged' open permanently.
We also MAY be able to tap them open and leave them that way for a while. It hurts your low end a little, but helps top end.
If you're having Kevin do the work friday anyway, just be patient and let him have at it, that's best
