FPR solenoild use with a/m FPR?
Should i put the fpr solenoid back in so that my aftermarket frp see's 0 vac at idle? ( thats how they work aye?)
or should i just adjust it to 34psi with the vacum line off the reg so that at 0 Vac it sees 34psi and at -16-20 Hgmm ( vac ) it will read about 20psi of fuel pressure?
i ask this as i set the pressure to 34psi with the vac hose on at idle and i am chewing thru the gas like nobodys business.
so i want to know, have i now set my FPR right ( vac hose off at idle)?
if not, how do i do it?

99 percent of the time the stock FPR routes intake manifold pressure/vacuum to the FPR. On RARE occasions the FPR solenoid closes off and lets the FPR see atmospheric pressure. An example is during HOT starts.
A normal stock FPR will show approx 28-32psi at idle after the car is fully warmed up. At atmospheric pressure at idle it would be closer to 37-39psi. The pressure will rise approx one psi for each psi of boost pressure. So boosting 10psi will result in a fuel rail pressure of 49 psi approx.
That FPR solenoid RARELY closes off. Normally the FPR is seeing manifold pressure all the time.

While boosting the fuel rail pressure will rise and I'll see approx 49psi fuel rail pressure (fuel pressure gauge tied to the wipers...wheeee!). I gotta buy a fuel pressure gauge that I can put in the car ....someday.
I know close to zip about aftermarket FPR's.

na thats all i needed to know.
Im currently trying to track down some sort of electronic sender unit that i can plumb into my fuel line and hook upto a gauge that i can mount in the car. Im cheaping it out ya see and running a rising rate reg to up the amount of gas in putting thru the injectors when im on full boost. once i get a safc i'll switch it back to a 1:1 and save some $ on gas.
