Four hour drive back home
Four hour drive back home
I finally have the money and the cojones to buy my first 7! I finally need help from you guys. The car is a 4 hour drive from my house which is no problem, this is worth it to me. My main concern is the drive back home if I decide to buy the car.
So far I'm planning to premix for some insurance, and of course I'll be checking the tires to make sure they've got enough air, but what else do you guys think I should do? What are the effects of running on the old oil? I'd rather just change it when I get home if i can help it.
I'll update you guys on the condition of the engine later this week, but I'm expecting most of the tubes and belts to be pretty worn out.
Any advice would be great!

If the car is in salable condition as a driver, then a 4 hour drive should be no issue at all.
There's no reason to run premix for "insurance" unless you suspect the metering oil pump is bad.
I assume you have read the How To Buy guides?
