Found strange box spliced in under dash
I was looking under the dash earlier and came across this weird box spliced into the wiring harness. it has 4 prongs on it and 3 wires going into it, one of the wires is connected to 2 of the prongs. Any idea what this is and why it's there? I'll try to take some better pics tomorrow when lighting is better.
The 3 wires that were cut look like they went into here before...
There is a small diagram on the front of it, I couldn't get a clear pic of it, but it looks like this:
Can I just take this off and solder the 3 wires back together? I know this is kind of a stupid question, but I want to be sure before I go messing with wiring and what not.
There's alot of ghetto wiring done on this car. I also found a plug to hook up to the lights on a trailer spliced into the taillight harness.
I also found a piece of gum, still in wrapper, behind the trim piece

All I can tell you is that it's a basic relay. You'd need to check the FSM wiring diagram to figure out what those wires are and what they're using the relay to control.

Simple boshe relay. Probably for an alarm starter kill.
I was wrong. Someone tied into the horns, again proably for an aftermarket alarm. If you have an alarm, set it off and see if the horns go. Either way, reattaching the wires are not going to hurt anything.
If you can solder, do the re connection right and solder/ heat shrink the suckers!
Oh and check your horn befor and after

Horn relay replacement. Too bad it's a complete hack job.
You can probably return the car to stock by reconnecting the wires to the CPU and then following the CPU resolder procedure (FAQ).
