The little black plugs are uinplugged on mine as well. I don't know for sure what they are, but it runs very well with them unplugged.

dont' ground those

the secondary one is used for an external tach hook up (setting idle) - they are used for testing.

Why would you even consider grounding them? As a rule of them, don't ground anything unless you know it's actually a ground or you'll fry something.

Those leads are where you plug in a diagnostic tach.

Settle down NewZealandfc3c, i wasnt going to ground them without checking with forum. Maybe if i knew they were for a diag. tach. I wouldnt have asked if i should ground them.. Since youre so smart, maybe you can tell me what the other wire is.

What other wire? The one you think goes to the O2 Sensor? Or the one in the second picture?! There are two grounds...one to the firewall by the Wiper motor, and one to the top of the engine block under the intake Manifold. The one bolted to the block should be connected to the wiring harness...I could give you a better answer if I could see better...HUGE pictures...

First pic. That ground goes to a tab on the firewall. Part of the assembly that holds your brake booster line on. (IIRC)

It is the wire from your O2 sensor, at least, as best as guessed by the picture. Generally it connects to a connector that comes from the same general area as the BAC's. It commonly breaks off however

all we can really see is a black wire

if the o2 was replaced with a universal it might not even have the standard rx-7 connector on it.

we would need some more info

What are the effects of it breaking off? Does anybody have a picture of the BAC?

WOAH!!! I just finaly realised where the vac lines went stock. lol I never paid attention when I was ripping things apart. Too bad I already reworked it and ditched the ACV. That port on the intake piping had me confused for the longest time...
