Found some interesting/bad stuff with rear suspention, plus some questions.
Well, today was the first time I have ever really had the rear of my car jacked up, so I decided to look and see if I could figure out why I had huge negative camber on the rears. The previous owner said he had a camber adjuster on the rear, so I figured it that was why. It turns out that the camber link was totally disconnected (see picture below). Now I know why I had so much camber!
After that I looked around at the rest of the rear suspention and saw another link that was just kinda sitting there. (see below) It turns out that this was the stabalizer bar link, and there wasn't a stabalizing bar! Holy crap.
I dont have any idea why they are like this. I haven't messed with any of my suspention because I liked how the car handled. I kinda doubt the previous owner would do it, either. That leaves the two shops that worked on it when it was rebuilt. Occording to Tito at alamo rotary, the dipshits I sent it to originally had removed basically the whole drivetrain of the car, for some reason. I just cant believe Tito wouldnt have said anything about it not having a sway bar.
Anyway, could the camber link not being attatched cause any problems?

To play devil's advocate in this thread, the rear camber adjust bar looks like the bolt and nut fell off the end.
If you take a look at the bottom spherical end carefully, you'll notice that the ends are actually spacers, and it's suprising they didn't fall off!
As for the rear sway bar...disconnecting it would induce more oversteer.
For an FC, it's not really a bad thing unless you really flog the car.
So unless you drive like a maniac, I would think you would find the extra "rotation" actually pretty cool.

The spacers looked pretty well attatched to me, but then again I didnt look too hard. As for the lack or sway bar, its possible that the previous owner had it that way on purpose. I guess its a cheaper way of getting neutral balance than beefing up the front bar. I've flogged it pretty hard, on and off the track, and the only time I ever had oversteer was when the rears were down to the belt on the insides due to the extreme camber. I think I'm just gonna keep it that way for a while. Its a lot of fun in the rain.
