I just wanted to put this somewhere where others could find it. Mazda doesn't sell the alternator connectors without the harness.

After a long Google image search under " alternator connectors " and a trip to the salvage yard, I found that the older Dodge Neon alt connectors are a direct fit. I was looking at 95's.

The alts is a bit of a pain to get to as it's located behind and underneath the engine on the passenger side. You can either crawl under or turn the wheel full right to reach through the opening behind the passenger side tire. Feel for the connector, push the tab, wiggle it loose and snip it off.

I could have sworn I took a picture but can't find it now. I'll try and grab another tomorrow.

if you look up the S5 t2 alt, you can buy the little pigtail from mazda its like $10

Reviving and old post, but i noticed local auto stores such as advanced auto have these pigtails as well.

As you can see on the website there are a ton of other models that use the same type of plug in case anyone wanted to check out junkyards other than dodge neons!

 

Sorry, not the right one I'm looking as well, but I don't see one yet.

 

I just get them off mazda 323s, 626s, etc, of around the same era of the FC. usually quite a few in the yard.

 

I just ordered this off Amazon by searching for mazda alternator pigtail.
