found this in my oil pan...?

found this little screw in my oil pan. looks untouched and as if it just fell off. i went through the manual but could not find it. anyone know where it is from? thanks in advance.

Looks like the tip of a drain plug.

the tip of the drain plug has something that screws into it? never knew that, ill check it out right now...

No, maaan, more likely one of the oil control screws that go in the eccentric shaft.

It's not an oil jet from the eccentric.

No idea what it is really. I can't think of anything in that area resembling that part other then the setscrew used to hold the setscrew on the oil pump. Without a size reference though it's hard to tell.

its some random screw that happened to be the same color as the oil pan so whoever put the oil pan on there didn't see it.

its a small screw. appears like a 6mm thread. its not the eccentric shaft screw i check that one. i am pretty stumped myself. maybe it is just an annomous screw.

that little thing gose into the bottom of the oil pump. It holds the bottom peace of the oil pump steady so it does not spin or something. I found that same thing in my oil pan too. You need to put it pack in and make sure it is lined up with the grove it goes into and use some lock tight to make sure it dosent come off again. If you dont you will lose oil pressure. I think that is wy I lost alittle oil pressure in my car. Aaron is right!
