Found and bought-back my first FC!!!

Wats ups guys? So believe it or not 2 days ago i found and bought back my first FC!!! The one i had Kevin @ Rotary Resurrection rebuild and port for me. I found the car again for $500 2 days ago and snatched it up knowing whats its worth.

Back when i had it I had Keven do an agressive streetport, rebuild the fuel injectors, Remove the thermowax, remove/block off all the emissions crap, remove the secondary butterfly valves from the intake manifold...ect the whole 9 yards! Since then ( and probably 3-4 different owners the omp has been removed, the battery has been moved to behind the seats, and an Apex-i SAFC has been installed. The car sorta wants to start, but doesn't like the idea of it...They guy i got it from said something about the driverside sub harness has been replaced, and that it required premix now... I have no idea what mix ratio or what to buy... I NEED HELP, I have to save my baby!!!

What are some things i can do to bring her back to life? Or should I just let Kevin take another look at her, possibly rebuild her again and give her a bridge-port? Oh btw, It is completely gutted with absolutely no creature comforts, and will probably not be driven on the street. I think am going to make this my official drift car.

Most people who have a blocked off OMP run a 1:1 ratio, I myself do. You might consider it a pain to have to run premix, but this a a great benefit to a rotary.

As for getting it to start, you'll need to describe the symptoms first.

1:1 ratio? I think you mean 1 oz of 2 stroke oil to 1 GALLON of gas. That is what I do. So that would be a 1:128 ratio.

Well, its got 2 different ecus, one is plugged in and one is sitting in the seat. I dont know which its supposed to have but its a 88 non-turbo S4 gxl. It is getting fuel (you can smell it) but it will barely turn over, start to burp and sputter a couple of time then nothing. I did the ol remove the 40A fuse next to the shock tower and crank it a few seconds trick but nothing... I dont know if i mentioned but the last person installed a SAFC in it.

Uhh.. yea, that's what I meant.

Look on the ECU for an identifying sticker. Here is an application list.

N326 - 86-87 NA
N332 - 87 Turbo
N327 - 88 NA
N333 - 88 Turbo
N338 - 88 Vert
N350 - 89 NA California
N351 - 89 NA
N352 - 89 Vert California
N353 - 89 Vert
N370 - 89 Turbo

The one that is plugged in should be an N327. If neither of them are, you'll have to source one. There is no reason to have any other ECU, other than the other owner had no idea which one he needed. It's always tough taking over another persons project (or in your case, after someone has modified your project).

1-Get a compression test, see what life is left in the motor.
2-Check the S-AFC, see that nothing ridiculous has been done to the fuel map (i.e. + or - 20% or something)
3-Check the condition of the sparkplugs, better yet just replace them outright.
4-Enjoy?

The N326 is plugged in right now, So i'll need to plug in the N327 here soon. What type of 2-stroke oil/premix oil would you use and where do i get it?

Funny related story.
I still own my first fc, but I was working on it today.
Guy pulls up and starts talking to me.
He knows his ****, calls the CAS by name.
Said his first car was a first gen rx7.
His second one was a fc and he said he sold it to a guy named Brandon.
My s4 used to be owned by a guy named Brandon.
Guy notices the rims on my car; I took from my s4 before I scrapped it.
Tell him where I got them....
I owned his old fc...
He wants to buy my s5... lol.
Not happening... too many "sold my first rx7 and now heartbroken" threads.

Funny a thread like this pops up. I recently found the original warranty info for my car and original window sticker. The warranty info has the address and name/phone number of the original owner in 87. The car was delivered with 42 miles on it apparently!

I plan on calling them and seeing if there is a way of sending them pictures to show them how their old car is doing. It used to be owned on a farm. I told friends about this and they said I'd be creeping on them or something...but to me it's like finding a long lost puppy or something. that bond and the memories that come back.

Thoughts on this?

Premix is supposed to help with lubricating the rotors better than omp...So i hear. It wouldnt hurt for us both to search, im not sure.

Correction: The n327 was plugged in, but it still won't run. I'm thinking some new plugs for starters. Also, i noticed alot of vacuum ports that need to be capped off too. I still haven't got a reply as to what premix to use/where to get it.

So ive been Reading through "flipstar's/itsfun's" forum about the 13B-REW cosmo swap. I'm stuck between doing that with a bridgeport and rebuilding/bridgeporting my stock motor. Whats ya'll's opinions on the matter? I'll be using the mostly for weekend drift events and the occasional weekend car show/cruise.

Hey Corry, I know the car ran fine a couple months ago, aside for a short in the ignition or something... http://southrnfresh.com/showthread.p...8-Graffiti-RX7
