Forgot where one of the coolant hoses connects...
It's the one coming from the water pump, and I think it connects to the back of the engine under the UIM. Can someone confirm this? Because I thought I had everything hooked up, and once I started filling the coolant back up, it leaked and I found that it wasn't connected...
Thanks guys, one more question.
Everything is hooked up to the car and the motor is in. Turned the key, and I got nothing. Everything turns on and everything, and theres an initial click and a whurring sound. I was told to try tapping the starter lightly a couple of times, but it still doesn't start. I've also heard that I have to push start it, but it's not a rebuild. The motor was out for awhile though, should I try it? Let me know, thanks in advance.

I think I'm starting to see a trend here. I bought a used engine and had it sitting on a stand for a few days. It was fresh out of the guy's car when I bought it and it turned over just fine, but after a few days of sitting, it was almost siezed up. After I managed to free it up, carbon started coming out the exhaust ports - quite a bit, actually.
So, it seems like when the internals of the engine are open to air, the carbon inside the chambers dries up and falls off, leading to carbon lock (carbon gets wedged under the apex seal).
Try turning over the engine by hand (pulling on a belt of something). If it won't budge, you are probably carbon locked.

Well, when I was putting the motor back in a couple days ago, I did just that and it moved. You think it woulda done it the last couple of days? Would the push start help? My friend said I might have blown a fuse, cuz there was a spark when I hooked up the battery again tonight. None of the fuses in the engine bay are blown though...
whirring like the starter is spinning, or whirring like it cant turn?
is it really hot after you hold the key on for a few seconds? if not then you arent carbon locked.
there is always a spark when you heek the battery up.
if you think you may be carbon locked, DO NOT pushstart, as you might break an apex. if you cant turn the motor by hand or with a SMALL amount of force on a wrench, then you need to soak the motor in something to dissolve the carbon, do a search and you'll find the procedure.

The starter sounds like it's spinning, but there's no clicking or anything, just the initial click when you turn the key and then whurring. I don't think it's carbon locked, that's just what someone else suggested. To be honest though, I have no idea. Like I said, I was able to move the belts right before I put the engine in, and I haven't tried it yet (it's raining outside and I took off the hood and fenders), but I'll give it a try when the weather clears up. Would a blown fuse inside the car cause the problem? None of the engine ones are blown, but I haven't checked inside the car.
heres my guess:
either you have a bad starter, OR you have a couple teeth missing on your flywheel.
try turning the engine a little bit, maybe a quarter turn or so, by hand and see if it starts then. if not, then you probably have a bad starter.

I took your advice and it started soon after. I really appreciate the help. I ran into another problem though, 'cuz coolant was leaking from the hard line to the turbo, so I tried to tighten the nut and I broke the stud. So I gotta get it off and put a new one in...
I was soooo close!!! *lol*
But I'm glad it started, though the RPM's stayed really high (around 2k), wasn't sure if it would go down after awhile, so I got scared and turned it off. But thanks again.
