Alternator Belt Question

I got home yesterday and as I am parking the 7 in the driveway I hear a sound coming from my engine and then all of a sudden I see all the idiot lights come on. So I think its either my alt or my belt, but I changed my alt not too long ago so that should be fine...OPen the hood and its the belt. I've yet to change the belt but had a few questions....HOw am I suppose to get the new one to where it goes? Do I have to take off the harmonic balancer pulley? Anyone done it before....Let me know....

-Thanks in advance...

Harmonic balancer pulley? What all belts do you have on the car? I guess just take off all the belts it takes to get to the alt belt, then replace it and put the other belts back on.

You see the two bolts that secure the alternator?
Loosen BOTH of them.
You see the (right?) side tensioner bracket?
The alternator should slide downwards now.

Now here's the hard part...do you have power steering and / or AC?
You need to take those off first.
You'll need to remove the stock fan via four 10mm nuts.
The belts come off pretty easily after that.

You need to put the alternator belt on first, then the other two (if needed).
