fogged flash as u pass lenses

fogged flash as u pass lenses

ok i just unfogged my flash as u pass lens and they fogged rite back up is there ne way to prevent this

How did you go about "unfogging" them? How long did they stay clear? Did you polish them with something like Novus? Ive had good luck with it on other cars that have plastic lenses and it worked great. Stayed clear for years. It just sounds like your method was innefective.

well i could get them apart so i spray them with air and they were clear in my house as soon as i stepped outside they fogged rite back up how do u take the lens apart without cracking them

use a hair drier or a heat gun warm up the tar like glue that goes around the lense until you are able to pull them apart. I did this to both my FTP's and they came off easily. The problem is sealing them back up. One of them I was able to seal properly and I get no condensation/fog in it. The other one I didn't do such a good job at sealing. The key is getting them to seal properly I think. I have to take mine apart again and reseal it. I'll try using some silicone if it doesn't work. I think that outta do it.

Not sure why they would fog up. Mine are vented with ashort section of....maybe1/4 in OD hose. Buffed the outside with polishing compound and the Mequire's plastic polish and they were almost good as new.
