Fog light relay pin
Fog light relay pin
I figured I'd install a set of fog lights I had laying around on my S4 but I'm now confused on with the STOCK S5 relay. I've attached a picture showing what the pins are labeled on the STOCK relay. This is with the relay pins facing you. After reading older threads, it seems people have just used Bosch relays labeled with numbers 30, 85, 86 ,87 and form a different pattern. Can someone please help pin the STOCK S5 relay for me. I'm sure I can guess which is what, but I wouldn't mind someone $.02 that has done this.
Again, this is going into an S4 so I don't have the wiring pre-setup in the car like S5's do.

85 and 86 are to the coil...
30 is COM
and 87 is Normally Open
If this relay had a Normally Closed, it'd be 87A
The numbers scheme is retarded. I don't know who came up with it, but I want to know what they were smoking.

Appreciated! I have no idea why the numbering is like that either. Completely random in my opinion. I should be able to wire it up now with an old thread from ICEMARK(R.i.p.)..Thanks again for the clarification.
