I feel like an idiot for asking but which relay is it if you're looking from the front to the back. My fogs don't light up and they are factory installed. Also are any relays interchangeable up front so I can test if it's the relay or not?

You can tell by the number of wires and the wire colors. The relay you need to find has 4 pins. It has a Black,Red/Black, Red/white and Red/Yellow wire. As previously stated in this thread, the R/Y wire receives constant voltage from the fog light fuse so this wire either has constant voltage or it does not so check it. The R/W wire has voltage w/the lights on and the fog light switch depressed so this is another wire to check. Since this relay has but 4 pins you might not be able to switch it out w/other relays especially since some will have more pins (5). If you just check the wires as stated you'll be able to tell if the relay is the problem or not.

Thanks Satch. Someone told me the relays were numbered but mine are all worn out but 4 wires is easier than guessing.

for a US S5;
F24 is the headlight relay, white 4 pin. the wiring diagram shows it furthest right
F25 is the dimmer relay (switches between high and low beam, blue 6 pin. center
F70 is the foglight, its Green. 4pin. it is the left most of these three relays.
then there is a space, and;
AC01; A/C main relay, the relay is round, connector is a white 4 pin.
F16: this is furthest left, it is for the auxiliary cooling fan, white 4 pin connector. both this and AC01 are on a little sub harness.
every car has the wiring for the fog lights, but if it didn't have fog lights it won't have the relay. i think the A/C sub harness varies, as they all have a/c, but they do not all have the aux fan

Are you installing series 5 fog lights on a series 5? No modifications whatsoever are required. All you need is the lights, mounts, switch, and generic Mazda relay off any 80s or 90s Mazda. I had one in my parts hoard from previous cars. The relay just plugs into one of the unused connectors in front of the radiator. The switch plugs into the unused connector in the arm rest. The fog light connectors are taped up near the leading coil pack and under the air box.
No removal of the bumper is required. Although it is a bit fiddly. You will need to remove the brake ducts if your hardware is not rusted and headlight trim. Raising the headlights with the trim off, disassemble the fog lights outside of the car then stick the parts through the headlight opening and reassemble them inside there... ship in a bottle style. Its just a few 8mm bolts.
There is a factory fog light fuse in the foot well.
I installed them on my GTUs last year.
No removal of the bumper is required. Although it is a bit fiddly. You will need to remove the brake ducts if your hardware is not rusted and headlight trim. How did you splice Into the parking lights
it's a bitch if you have an s4 with s5 bumper, cause as they said above, you lack all the wiring. i got a free pair of s5 fogs and i just spliced it into the turn signal/parking light wiring. they work when i turn on parking lights and full lights. i'll upload a pic if i can find my camera
did you attach ground to ground
did you attch the other to which wire ...?
