Fml !
Today i didn't get to go auto-Xing so i was bumming around and went to the garage. started up the supra and happened to open the hood. Found a coolant leak on the top tank. it was a small leak but as it warmed up it slowly dripped out. not a big deal since i don't have to drive it.
Then i go over to the FC, looking around the intake and see an oil stain, not too wet just some sweat. i found some of the OMP vacuum lines had come off. WTF? oil on the hoses and it looked like from the copper crush washers too. again not a big deal since i don't have to drive it everyday.
Go to leave, start up the bimmer and the charge warning light is on! oh crap, i revved the engine and the light flickers. I grab the multimeter and check voltage, 11.97. then light goes away as i start driving. maybe it was a fluke? it happens again after i stop to eat, but goes off again. Then i a near my apartment it comes on and stays on, crap... now i need an alternator.
well today sux! i have 3 cars and all of them have a problem. i go and swap out the FC, managed to get the vacuum line back on the OMP injector with a screw driver so at least i have a car for tomorrow and the alternator is on order.
Has anyone replaced the Vacuum hose with something more durable? maybe Viton hose? i don't wanna get another spider just to have it get brittle again.
