I tried searching for this but had not success
I have two stock T2 intercoolers and I heard pple talk about welding them together and making a nice front mount out of it
how is that possible
I have access to a welder and I already have 2 of the stock coolers and I can get cheap stainless steel pipes
what else do I need to do this
and how do I do it
I dont quit inderstand how the air would flow through the intercooler if u just weld it together

if anyone knows how it works explanations are helpful

 

You need to cut off the end tanks, and make new end tanks with the air flowing through both intercoolers at the same time.

but does any one have a writen write up of a step by step procedure what to do and and material needed

how long does it take to get this completed?

 

way to much trouble and change of leaks. Just buy a universal one off ebay if you are going to try your own kit. They sell them for 250 all day long then fab some exhaust pipes up and have your freind weld those. Better results trust me

If you can't figure it out by looking at the pictures, then you do not have the skills to complete the project. This is OK, as most people on this forum do not have the skills, either. I think that Bukwild's suggestion of buying a budget universal intercooler is a better idea in your case, as it is for most people. Just keep in mind that plumbing is difficult and expensive, so make sure you can either afford to have it fabricated, or have a freind who can perform the work before you buy the intercooler.
