Question FMIC install? setback rad?

I was sitting around wondering if that has ever been done before. Would it be possible when installing a FMIC to move the radiator back enough to put a FMIC in the newly created space?

Would a good size core fit in that space? It seems it would make for shorter piping which would be a good thing. Then create some sort of plating on the side of the sandwich to keep the air from flowing around the rad.

I think somebody had done this and was wondering how they did it. Thanks

James

I have my Volvo FMIC mounted in a fashion you have described. I also moved the oil cooler and brace forward to yield even more room.
