fmic...is it gonna work?

My 89 turbo II got a couple of things going on, one of the issue is my intake boot that's leaking, for sure from the filter to turbo ( maybe other ones too..), I've talked to some people they've told me there's about total of 8 set of hoses and recommend me to chang out all, in that case if I was to go with a fmic, will that eliminates all the rubber hoses that needs to be replace since the fmic comes with aluminum piping? also with fmic, some other fc owners are having trouble reinforcing their bumper, ended up uninstalling it, so I was wondering are there any company that makes a upgrade replacement that will fit where the stock one sits at... ( not really down to cut my bumper anyways...)

thanks for helping out!! ^_O

i have a front mount on mine and i just took out the bumper support. i really haven't had any issues with it though. also i did have to cut the back of my bumper to make it easier to put my bumper back on.

as far as the intake boot you could just use a couple of 90's with some silicone couplers to mate it back up to the stock airbox or just purchase a replacement here or on ebay. i know there is someone on here making a fmic that was just basically a bolt on but it did angle the intercooler backwards. i think it was corksport.com
