With FMIC on, can the hood scoop be used for a CAI???

Why not take the TMIC and modify it to be the airbox. Make it so that you can drop in one of those square K&N filters and put a rubber molding around the sides to form a good seal with the hood. Then you would just have to duct the piping from the TMIC (bolted to the UIM) down to the turbo; I don't think it would be THAT difficult.

That pressure profile is pretty close for 2nd Gen NA's.
The turbo scoop works because is sticks up in the air flow.

My favorite location for a turbo CAI is the brake duct inlet.
For an NA, either the brake duct inlet or the cowl at the base of the windshield.

The first person the install CAI ducting from the turbo scoop wins!

You are correct that the general areas of pressure will not change by a significant amount on a TII, but the actual measured pressure profile will be quite different at the scoop entrance.

I say that picture is meaningless because it has basically zero solid engineering info on it. It has no scale, no units, no indication of speed, nothing. It's a just a shape drawn onto a picture of a car. It's the same general shape that you would get from most conventional sedans and coupes, and anyone with a very basic knowledge of automotive aerodynamics could draw it from scratch and get pretty close. Considering it's from a sales brochure, I wouldn't be surprised if someone from Mazda's marketing department did just that. A real aerodynamic profile drawing is nowhere near as smooth and pretty looking, and will vary quite a bit as speed changes.

You and I might have enough engineering knowledge to realise all this, but it seems a lot here don't. Everytime the hood scoop comes up in discussion, someone posts that damn picture and claims it as "proof" the hood scoop doesn't work.

Perhaps one day I'll grab a water manometer, do some pressure testing, and draw my own pretty picture...

Think about why you're relocating the IC away from the top of the engine and you'll realise why putting a "cold" air intake in it's place would be a pretty silly idea.
