Exclamation Flywheel Weights?

Ok, I'm rebuilding 87 TII and I got some flywheel problems. What does the stock S4 TII flywheel weight?

I have 3 flywheels that I removed from S4 TII cores:

1) 27.6 lbs
2) 27.6 lbs
3) 22.2 lbs

Which one is of the correct weight? I know these came for S4s cause I remove the engines myself.

ok, so I got 2 S4 and 1 s5. I was kinda thinking that the lighter one was an s5, damn. that would explain why that motor had more rear bearing wear than usual. Thanks

he's gonna take that comment and think that using the 22lb flywheel is better when it's not.

you have to use the S4 flywheel with S4 rotors. S5 flywheel with S5 rotors. they're all matched sets. the only time you can use a lightweight flywheel is if you use the couterweight for the automatic trans. the aftermarket flywheels are designed with the couterweight in mind, so everything will still be balanced.

the N3** stampings on the flywheel should indicate it's origin, not only additional bearing wear would result from the wrong flywheel but possibly catastrophic engine failure at high RPMs.

Yes I know to keep the same series parts together.

Thanks for that info, didn't know about the cast marks, the backs of the flywheels are covered in alot of grease and grime that I can't tell anything was there.

Thanks everyone on your input.
