Flywheel doesnt match.. *pictures*

I ordered a fidenza 8pnd flywheel, for my 1988 mazda rx7 N/A GXL

The old flywheel that I pulled off is shown, the new one doesn't have a key, or even the whole centre piece... does anyone know what the deal is? does anyone know the fidenza part number?
yellow = shouldnt this be on the new one?
red= where is the key

You need the rear counterweight for the OEM automatic transmission flexplate, make sure you get the correct series counterweight also.

Thank you, Kevin for that fine piece of information. To all those who think Kevin's being anything other than perfectly helpful, I don't think there could be a better answer than what Kevin posted.

I have to disagree. Now granted, I've been around the "net" since back in the day as well as forums, so I get how they work...unlike a lot of people.

I BROWSED these forums for roughly four months before signing up. It was two months before I made my first post after that.

In that time I've wanted to shoot myself in the face several times from people posting the same questions over and over again...often within a few threads of each other.

You may see asking a "simple" question as nothing more...however for people who've seen that question a billion times, and supplied information on their own...both on these forums and their personal sites. It is nothing but laziness to at least not use the search button.

I don't know much about rotaries except for what I learned over six months reading about on the forums before I bought mine. I do know this.

Those with the knowledge and experience aren't magickal gnomes of inquiry who sit on the forums, 24/7, waiting to answer your specific question, which has been asked eleventy billion times before. For free nonetheless. Should they decide to be irritable about your laziness, IMHO they have every right to be.

Now go get that counterweight. =)

this isnt just to gringo, ressurection as well,

okay heres the thing, dont talk like people dont know how to use forums, its actually pretty basic, sorry i couldnt search around months before i signed up... i signed up when i bought my first rx7 and i am thankful. dont go talking like you want to shoot yourself in the face, replying with the word search would suffice,

i found lots of information when i was reading up on flywheels etc... i must have passed by anything with counterweights... sorry for being lazy, to tell you the truth, but you really need to understand that this isnt somthing that was up two threads ago... i dont know any personal sights, and to tell you the truth i dont really want to, most of the information i need can be found on this forum
or someone can direct me to the right place.

now, it might seem like a good idea to take a rip out of someone for posting without searching extensivley.. but in all truth it doesnt do anything except steer people away from the rx7 community, im taking an interest in this car, trying to keep it going on a collage budget, and in all truth sometimes it feels easier to buy domestic 80's and pay less for parts, especially when its not like i have the money for gas to get places fast.

as for the magical gnomes, ill tell you what.. i know there not my slaves to answer questions when i need them answered but i hoped that someone passing by could just throw me a quick pm or reply and let me know what i was missing, for example the pictures in the second post. but i didnt expect someone to start an argument, call me lazy, tell me i believe in fictious characters, and make me look like im the type of person that uses people for there knowledge because i think they have no life...

i thank anyone who can provide anyone getting started with knowledge... and i expect it to be free of charge, and not rape the beginners for there lack of knowledge... sure be irritated, but take it with a stride dude, some people here have just fallen in love with somthing older then them... and if you even knew, youd know its hard to treat an older womans friends nice when they keep lookin at you like your just some young pup... sure i might do things wrong, but keep your irritated, opinionated, rude comments to yourself, then start a collection of similar questions like this and ask aaron if it can be tagged, and reduce the amount of repeated questions....

this is my opinon, sence you voiced yours... usually if its being asked a "billion" times, its because its a common question that stumps people who have never done it before and there looking for a little help.... just understand that not everyone can be ohh... so perfect..

:=p thanks for the advice...

no offense ment, but im tierd of reading through "billions" of replys with people sharing there opinons about new members.... a simple search reply would have made me alot happier, informed, and " a lil less irritated"

That's all covered in the FAQ and other stickied threads at the top. I suggest you read them, also check out the archives. Really, there is a TON of information in there. Even if it's not something you're looking for, you may need to have an idea about it in the future... nahmean?

Hijacking a thread with a bunch of _off topic_ conjecture regarding your views on forum etiquette is no better than the OP asking a question that has been answered a thousand times already instead of searching.

If you've got nothing useful to contribute _on topic_ then just ignore the post and if everyone feels the same it gets buried with the rest of the pointless threads.

Yay, now I've joined the ranks of everyone pissing and moaning in this thread... although at least I did answer the guys questions in the first page without raising too much of a stink about his newbie mistake.
