Fly wheel for revving?

Rev higher? Not really...
Rev faster? Yes, with a lightweight aluminum flywheel... |
Less rotating mass = faster spin up.. It'll rev quite a bit faster but higher all depends on the computer and if your spark can keep up. I've seen rotarys winding up to 13k or so in drag cars. I would bet the engines don't last long though.

An aftermarket flywheel is usually made able to withstand revs upwards of 13k rpms. Most are 11.5k rpms I believe. The stock one may grenade at 10krpms and kill you.:p: Just because the flywheel is safe for those RPMS though doesnt mean the rest of your engine is, or that it will make power at any higher of a RPM than before.
