floorpan fabrication?
well i looked into the price of a new floorpan for the now salty rotted one in my 1988 rx7 gxl.... and i was very suprised to hear that it would be on back order from japan, and its listed at 860.75 .... being as this is rediculious price, i considered pulling a pan out of a car thats been wreaked, but why would i pay to put in a floorpan thats as bad as the one i got.,.,
so what i was wondering
1. is it possible to get a metal fabrication shop to bend some metal, break it..... then mig it in,
2. Does anyone have blueprints for the floorpans they can post?
3. should i get them to bend it into an X? for strength or somthing else?
4. what gauge should i use?
thanks

blueprints for the floorpans??hahaha
Yeah, they can be made easily, I would recommend an 18 gauge steel.
Just have them roll a few beads in the panels for rigidity and weld them suckers on.
