Flooding and will not start, but different from before.
I am at my wits end. The car has a fuel shut off switch under the dash. Only on rare occasions is it necessary to use this switch to clear a flooded condition, and it has always worked before.
I have not been able to get the car to start for more than a week. It is obviously flooded, based on the gas smell. With the fuel shut off, the engine will, at times, act as if it wants to catch, but just will not do it. Spark is fine, gas is definitely there.
I pulled the plugs and all were wet. I turned it over for awhile with the plugs out to see if I could clear it, to no avail.
I know very little about injectors (more about carbs). Can an injector have failed and there is just way too much fuel being introduced, causing it to immediately flood and not start?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

I'm thinking its really flooded. I spent a week trying to get mine unflooded. I did the procedure in the rotaryresurrection.com website. Basically I did this 3 times before I could hear compression and start it:
1) Remove EGI fuse in engine compartment
2) Remove plugs/wires
3) Crank car for 10 seconds, repeat again
4) Put an ounce or two of oil in lower sparkplug holes. Dont skip this step.
5) Get a 22-23mm(?), put car in nuetral, and manually rotate the engine until you can hear a little compression.
6) Replace plugs and wires. Remember trailing wires go on the top plugs; Leading go on the lower. Just double check to make sure you didnt mix them up in attaching wires (Coil in front is for Leading and Coil rear is trailing).
7) Put EGI fuse back in
8) Make sure battery isnt drained, press pedal to floor and try starting.
9) Expect LOTS of smoke when it starts
