Flooding when trying to start

I just bought a 87 Rx 7 , non turbo, and it seems when trying to start occasionly its flooding out and running really rich, which shouldnt be happening because its fuel injected. And i find myself having to depress the pedal occasionally as well to start it, like its not getting any air or something.

Pressing on the pedal to start it should do nothing else then flood it more, dont do that. Your fuel injectors could be leaking. Do a search for "flooding" in the 2nd gen section, it is a fairly common problem and there is tons of info.
