flooding problem... different type of Q, need help?

ever since i bough my 88 GTu i have had to start it with a fuel cut off switch. i crank it with the switch on then flip it off and it'll start up then i flip the fuel back on. its not that big of a problem. i was guessing that it was flooding all the time, which isnt good. but just yesterday i go to start up my car and it just doesnt kick up. it's turning over just fine but nothing is happening. so i guess its my spark plugs i go and replace them and she starts up. ( another problem i cant get my right leading plug all the way in, i dont want to force it too much any ideas?) i drive her home, go do some work and come out side to go to my buddys house and the car does the same thing. it keeps turning over but nothing. the tach wont move at all. im flipping my fuel switch back and forth but that does nothing. so i pull the egi fuse, un flood it and bam! she starts up again. i dont want this happeining everytime i let my car sit for a little bit. any ideas on what could be happening ? recently i just replaced my intake manifold with a ported one, racing 6 port sleeves and new fuel injectors.

First of all, do you have a damn good current rated switch that you're using for the fuel cutoff? Does it get hot at all? Most of these cheap-*** switches you get in the auto parts store are just that, and don't last long...

Second, you need to check your compression, man, you shouldn't have to start a rotary the way you're doing it if you have a healthy engine...

Third, your rotor housing threads might be stripped on your problem plug. Not much you can do about that at this point, just live with it, keeping in mind that it be contributing just a bit to your problems...

You don't have something stupid like 700cc primary injectors, do you?

no i dont have 700cc primarys. im not sure about te switch. it was there when i bought the car. i will check my compression though. that is one thing im worrying about. but i just put on my new manifold so im going to take it off and check if a hose has popped off or something. no the switch doesnt get hot by the way.
