Flooded......I think
13B NA.....getting good spark, and tons of fuel. Tried the tricks of premix, pulling the fuse, cranking....etc. Still seems to flood when trying to start after about 5 seconds of cranking? Is there a possibility that there has been so much gas that it's in the exhaust and not letting the eninge exhale??? Weird.....
When you did the fuse trick and cranked it did you have the spark plugs pulled? If not that may help.
I've flooded an rx7 before so bad that the fuse trick didn't work, so I pulled the lower plugs and cranked it over (with egi fuse pulled obviously) for about 5 seconds per interval and about 30 seconds in between each crank, did that 5 times. Put plugs back on, another couple cranks with egi fuse still out, put fuse in, and it fired right up.
Good luck.

Pull all of the spark plugs and the fuse out and crank it over while holding the gas pedal to the floor. If its flooded there should be bunches of fuel.... vapor I guess.... that comes out. Crank it until none comes out anymore. Clean the spark plugs off and put them back in.
This method has cleared up most, if not all of the flooded engines I've seen.
Edit: beat me to it

I'm assuming its the 86 GXL in your profile... EGI Comp in the fenderwell fuse block. But if you pulled both, thats fine.
Did you try putting some Marvel Mystery Oil, ATF, regular oil, etc into the combustion chambers?

Where in So Cal are you located? If you are near by I wouldn't mind taking a quick peek at it. It wouldnt hurt to get some fresh eyes on your problem.
How do your plugs look after you try to start it? You could be getting spark, but not a clean one.
Try this
1) Remove the EGI fuse and the Leading plugs, then crank the engine for 5 seconds 3 times
2) Take some brake cleaner and spray your Leading Spark plug tips clean. Then get some really fine grit sand paper and light sand the spark plug tips as best as you can till they are shiny, spray with brake cleaner again and let the plugs dry completely.
3) Return the fuses and spark plugs in their proper places and try to start it up.
NOTE: Step 2 is a good way to screw up some good plugs, so just a warning. It worked for me in an emergency case on some plugs that were covered in muck.
