floating steering
Hit an object in the road think it was a pot hole and since my car is so low it felt catastrophic, upon first inspection the passenger side tire was popped so i thought hey maybe thats all that happened, got a new tire and drove it home to find about an inch of play when turning to the left or right almost like you would find on an older car, would you guys recommend new tie rods?

I would recommend jacking up the car and finding what is loose / damaged.
Not to flame you, but I think it would take less time to jack the car up and look than it would to write the post.
Check ball joints, ball joint bolts, wheel bearings, tie rods, steering rack universals, steering rack mounts, steering rack, steering shaft, etc...
Something is going to be obvious.

Put the steering to center and have someone turn the steering left to right a few inches very slowly while you start examining from the steering shaft downward. You'll find the play... the weight of the car absolutely has to be on those front wheels.
Hopefully you didn't take a worn rack and accidentally make it worse...
