!--- First upgrades for an NA engine?

If you had a just rebuilt 1987 NA engine and wanted to get more power, whats the best way to go?

Intake/Exaust... Then what?

Is it worth buying one of the cheap $1500 8psi turbo kits, or maybe a supercharger, or what? Anyone have an idea?

I want around 200 hp, maybe be able to make 250 on demand

200 = CASH

250 = Lots of CASH

Do some searching - search for 200hp as this thread starts about once a week. Also search for beefy N/A.

Was the engine ported? I always start with easy stuff like free flow cats and a good catback then a CA Box with a K/N filter
