something i was wondering about pre-mix. how much is it for the 2-stroke oil. i've read of 8 oz and 16 oz quantities. didn't quite understood the mixing ratios either so i think i'll have to read the threads again. also, since premix doesn't use the oil from the pan anymore, would that allow for the use of other types of oils (synthetic).

you can get 1 gallon at Wal-Mart for just under $6. at a 100:1 ratio you would need about 1 ounce of oil per gall of fuel. a gallon of oil usually lasts me a few K miles at 18MPG average.

i mainly recommend it as my reasoning is it cures the grooves cut into the rotor housings by the apex seals and keeps all the parts cool rather than the middle of the housing/rotor evenly which reduces the overall wear in the motor.

let's go premix then. just show me how once. i wouldn't have to worry that much about low oil anymore right since none will be be injected into the engine. sure beats stocking oil at 25+ per case though.

yea, 2 stroke oil aint all that expensive but if you drive the engine hard it is a good idea to also use better grade oil but for daily driving while seeing redline occasionally the cheaper TCW3 stuff works just fine.
