first time at the track, TERRIBLE times inside

HOLY GOD THIS IS SO FREAKING SLOW!...

i have an 88GTU fully stock interior (that includes spare tire) with gutted cats, elc fan, cone filter and the "tb mod".. thats it. I ran a 15.9@87.19MPH.

My 60ft was 2.232, my 1/8th was 10.233@69.63. DAMN I WAS GRANNY SHIFTING LIKE A MO FO. oh well, its time to put that TII motor i got for cheap REAL FAST, this is embarrasing!!!!.

well tell me what you think everyone, have a nice day.

Dude, practice and you will shave so much time off. There are so many things you do differently to find out what works the best. My first run was slow, but after about 10 runs my time was 2.5 seconds faster!

Next time, maybe take out some of that excess weight...like the spare.

And I really wasn't too appalled when I read 15.9...it isn't that bad man.

That really isn't bad for confesing that you weren't launching and shifting too well... You could be running very low 15's. That's actually amazing for a near-stock series 5!

Im just trying to see how good i can get it near stock. Then im modding the hell out of it. Everyone have a nice day
