First RX7

Right now I drive a 02 Impreza and I'm buying a 88 Turbo II this week to use as a daily driver until my wife buys another Impreza in the fall. I tried searching, but couldn't quite find the information I was looking for. I plan on removing excess weight and upgrading the cooling system before any serious mods, any suggestions? Also, after I get the cooling and weight reduction out of the way, what mods should I perform? Thanks in advance.

make sure to do some heavy maintenance on it before begining to mod it. There are many mods that you can do, do a search on this forum and you'll get many ideas. Id start with the exhaust if it was me. A nice 3 inch single will add power and style. But remember, the more you mod, the less reliable as a daily driver it will be.

As long as the cooling system is in good order, there's no need to upgrade it if you're only planning mild mods. Just give the system a good flush and replace the thermostat and coolant.

I already plan on maintenancing the car (New fluids, filters, hoses, coolant flush, belts, etc..) as soon as I pick it up. Also, I was wondering what mod's I can do in what order to avoid running lean, avoid boost creep, or and to avoid detonation. What is the maximum amount of boost a new Mazda rotary can handle semi-reliably with an upgraded fuel system and a stand-alone? How much weight can be removed from a FC without giving the appearance of being gutted?
