I think I'm approaching a right of passage in the car world. My first project!!

My father recently bought a gorgeous 60k original miles 91 vert

He doesn't want to keep two verts and I've always loved his black vert. I've always loved black verts in general. A black vert was my first RX that I owned. When my black vert got totalled I simply couldn't find a black one close enough and in good enough shape for me to buy. I ended up buying a real nice 89 red vert in Atlanta. A few years later I had a JDM TII swap done. MY JDM needs a rebuild!!!

I'm not going to worry too much about trying to get the side seal unstuck (if thats even the problem).

The project is to first take all the N/A parts from the black vert and put them in the red vert...to be sold!!! There's nothing wrong with the N/A engine, tranny, driveshaft, diff, etc. They've been kept in meticulous shape so no rebuild is going to happen with the N/A stuff. I want to get that ready to be sold ASAP. Toss me a PM if you want to know more about the sale. Once I have an asking price I'll start a legitimate FS thread.

The TII engine will get a rebuild. This being my first rebuild so I don't think I'll mess with any porting. I want to keep as many variables for screw ups to a minimum. For now the plan is to do a straight rebuild.

I have to decide what to do about hoods and intercoolers. My red TII hood would obviously need paint matched and I've got a Mazdaspeed scoop. I'd use the OEM TMIC. Or I can keep the N/A black hood and go FMIC, probably selling the MS scoop to fund a FMIC. Also going on the black vert will be Aero sideskirts and I'll need a replacemenet Aero front lip.

As it stands now everything in my signature will be set aside, along with an aftermarket audio system and alarm.

Once the rebuild is complete I'll add an Rtek 1.7 to the N370, probably some extra fuel control. Innovate LC-1 and a manual boost controller. While everything is apart a dual EGT setup would be nice...but I think overkill for my purposes. By the time the rebuild has been completed I'll have made those decisions.

Everything N/A will go in the red car and sold as-is. I'd love to have had more time to plan the sale of the N/A vert. But I can get help doing all the work this weekend. So this weekend is when it all starts. I'm hoping to have the N/A up and running by the end of the weekend with a FS thread. After the N/A is running I'll start the rebuild on the JDM. Any potential buyers feel free to PM me for details. If a buyer is planning on doing mods or a rebuild on the N/A they could take it all away. Engine out of car and ready for them to work on it...saving some time for both of us in install and removal. But that's expecting alot to happen by Sat.
