Sparyed 2 good coats of self etching primer, then sprayed Dupont VOC 3.5 with a Finishline III HVLP gun, lots of sanding, buffing and polishing after that. This is the result. Took a couple of months to get it all done.

Not quite done with the door jams, and under the hood stuff, but I will post pics later when thats all complete.

Thanks for the compliments.

here is a pic of it during the work

How much did this cost you? Looks great...I'd love to do this to my red 87 T2, although the paint is good it's a little faded so it looks a little orange .

l33trx7 - Nope, no acid bath.

Fingers- Full color change is still in progress, but It will be once I finish.

redninja - Sorry bout the host, life goes on. Cost me under $1000 for everything paint related, including the paint, and the spary gun.

frestylereaction - "... theyre not special" Yes, Ohh yes they are

looks good, good job on the paint. IMO, you really need black wheels to keep the 10 AE color code Idea. I think it would be like a good vs. evil type thing.

Paint job looks awesome but I wouldnt do that to my AE. If I wasnt selling mine I would have had mine painted pearl white. Good job!

Gorgeous. I'm not a big fan of white cars--they should have made all AEs black!

I don't think Kevin was bashing the original AE color. He saw my car 1/3 done at a meet in Fair Oaks just a few weeks ago ... and trust me it was UGLY then .. that's what I belive he is comenting on.

I don't mind them clean & white ... I just love the look of a black FC, any model, it just turned out I bought a 10AE ... and I knew no matter what I bought it was going black by the time I finished. And I can't say I'm not happy with it

Thanks again for all the compliments everyone
