Ok well i finally timed the car correctly. It runs hella better now but still drinking gas like it's going out of style. I just cleaned the K&N, replaced the fuel filter again, and am looking for other reasons for the consumption. The o2 sensor will be replaced on sunday and also the fuel inlet sock aswell. any other ideas? also I am constructing a cold air box. should i keep the over the radiator piece incorperated in the system or just remove it? Thanks for your help.

 

O2 sensor and spark plugs are the #1 & 2 reasons or exsesive gas consumption. Replace those and see how it goes, also get new plug wires with the plugs if it's been a while since you changed them ... make sure you cat's not clogged also.

 

yeah i just did the plugs and wire...the cat is only a couple month's old and it is a RB cat....will the standard 02 fit in the rb cat?

 

Yes, i prefer ND O2 Sesors myself. ... a little more money, but I think better quality.
