Nice car, love the color. Everything is cool except the pedals. But overall a great looking car IMO.

Well most of my time has been spent stripping the old blue out and putting in black, but i've got an upper strut bar, bonez superflow, tokico hp's... intake... not much done engine wise yet, as i'm trying to tackle one problem at a time. it's got an act 4 puck copper clutch and HD Pressure plate. New grounds, removed ac/ps/ac core and blower unit. Also has a newer rebuilt transmission SS brake lines and Mazdatrix carbon steel brake pads.

The seats are DAD racing seats... basically the cheapest torino style seats. I had to custom make brackets for them.. but they are pretty nice.

Thats cool, my car came with a carbon fiber looking shift **** to match the carbon fiber look steering wheel cover. I left them both on for like a year because the steering wheel itself was mangled and the shift **** was so-so.

But I got those both replace with OEM parts.

I got a trust Front upper strutbar, good quality welds, and very tight, color even matches my car. (pretty close)

Good upgrade for 40 bucks!

Sounds awesome, I have to fade it to the rear a little because of the proximity, but other then that it sounds great.

I put them there, right now they are screwed into the fiberglass, but I plan on making some custom surrounds that will make it completly flush as soon as my rotozip gets here . I'm also considering making these en mass.

Oh, those speakers btw are Kicker 3.5 inch 4 ohm mid/tweets. I love them because they have rotor shaped tweeters

is that the RP cat-back?
Isn't a 4-puck clutch a little harsh for street driving?

It's not my daily driver. And I like the harsh engagement Needs stiffer engine/tranny mounts.

Seats are ok quality. I don't like the fabric, but they look and ride really nice.

by harsh I don't mean for driveability, I mean for the drivetrain. Those kinds of clutches will take out your tranny pretty quickly.

Really, you get what you pay for. I paid 400 bucks for mine off ebay. The seat rails are total crap, I custom fabricated some from the stock seats. They are VERY comfortable if you've got a 34-38 waist. If your any bigger, your *** won't fit in the seat

The cloth is so so. But the bolsters are stiff and hold you in place. The "pleather" contact points are ok quality. It's really not a bad deal for 400 dollars. I wasn't about to pay 800 for a set of corbeau's.

Also, I picked up my seats from the only guy that's selling them right now... Since he bought EVERY SINGLE PAIR DAD racing had. If you want, email me @ defekt@thoughtshop.com And I can get you his information.

dad seats

i also have the DAD seats in my 86 rex, i love them, i wish they were real leather but other than that, for the price, these seats look the best and are the most comfortable you can get. i also got mine off ebay for around $400.

That car looks much better in person. In the pictures, the blue looks a little faded. In person, its bright and it shimmers (as Mike will tell you, its Yamaha F1 blue, same color as my friend's R6).

So you finally got that passenger seat in, eh? Looks real nice. Finish up that interior and it will be a really sweet ride. Give me a call too, I think I may be in remedial driving classes this Saturday because of too many damn tickets.

Hehe, Yeah I need to clean it up a little bit and then the paint will shine... The cloudy-ness affects the color. It Looks almost purple at night.

Yeah the passenger seat was a bitch to custom fabricate. I drilled and welded bolts under the body for the second seat.

you can find these seats at other places than Ebay, like urbanimports.com i think. The seats also have a warranty on them, like lifetime on the frame, and 1 year on fabric and stitching i think.

Can we have some more pictures of the seats?
