unfortunately, the exhaust is stock, or i think it is, sounds close to a porsche, but i'll post some pictures of the exhaust, so you can tell me if its really stock.

ok, now that some of you seen the pictures , can somebody tell me what version of the rx7 this is. i had a guy look at it a couple of months back, and he says its a special order , it seems to have extra options that did not come with the GTU, such options include leather wrapped steering wheel, leather wrapped arm rest, black interior, sport suspension, security system, the stock sound sistem consisted of 6 speakers and the cd with equalizer receiver and so on. ( fog lights did not come with vehicle when purchased)

I know enough about the mechanical side of rx7's however im new and when it comes to differences between the versions of rx7's i suck , so i trully dont know what this car is, by the wheels and the manual windows i can tell its a GTU , and its not a GTUs because it has sunroof and a/c.

Can somebody enlighten us here?THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THE COMPLEMENTS

Looks like a GTU with a steering wheel cover to me...

If you have no tilt steering, it's a GTU.

Also, all 7's but the GTU came with fog lights.

not true i have a gtu with a tilt wheel. The base didn't come with a tilt wheel.

The seats look GXL-ish.. but look in the thread in the archives that lists all the options because it will help you out.. maybe.. I have two cars that are almost perfect hybrids between GXL's and GTU's. I think you can tell from the VIN, but then you have to find the page of the FSM that tells you what all the numbers on the VIN mean.

looks like a GTU with options to build it up to GXL specs (minus automatic adjusting suspension)

oh wait it's hard to tell from the pics but it looks like you DO have AAS, I'd say it's a GXL but the windows are manual and GXL seats have the headrest separate from the seatback. That looks like a special mixture of Rx-7s.

Its a S5 GXL from an owner who got tired of replacing power window switches!
That would be my guess.

But, the rims are S5 gtu/gxl (that doesn't help). The seats are NOT S5 gxl. So I think we need to see if there are actuators for the shocks in the engine bay. And if there is the tilt feature for the steering wheel column.
