Finally an FC owner.
After 8 months of begging for one, I finally have acheived that goal. Bought an 88 SE for 1500. I am finally an owner of a rotary powered car. And it is all stock. Which is good.
I have a couple questions though:
Coolant Problems. I know that it not being turbo, it should not have problems. I am just concerned. Considering how cold it was, it might have been that problem. My coolant temp. gauge read below normal, but when I got home I checked it out, and no champagne bubbles, nor spillage, nor any low coolant. What is going on?
And I need to get a hold of a front license plate holder. Mine is kinda trashed. Seems like something small to get, but I have no money, and I figured that would be between 10-20 bucks.
If you could answer those questions, that would be great.

First off the stock temp gauge is ***, but with a S4(86-88) RX7 the "normal" temp reading should be about 1/4 the way up from cold. it is not very accurate and usually only goes into the "hot" range of the gauge once its too late and yer motor is cooked. Just make sure it stays in that "normal" spot and you should be cool. Might wanna get an aftermarket temp. gauge to be really safe. And BTW, turbo or not, cooling on any rotary is vital.
Good luck and have fun. Congrats

Thanks for the help. I was just told by my neighbor that the reading on the gauge was ok. I figured it was, since no champagne bubbles.
Thanks again.
