Red face Final clutch questions before tearing apart, again, 90 FC3C, n/a

Well, several searches, tons of pm's and responses, I just would like a bit more advice/suggestions, as to prepare for any complications. Replaced clutch, bearings, disk, pressure plate, turns out flywheel wasn't resurfaced as told. Anyhow, vibration still there, even after adjusting driveshaft, re-tightening all bolts, etc. The clutch disk I installed was a few mm larger in diameter than previous one, but was still a few mm smaller than flywheel.
Double checked that it was for an n/a, not turbo, good news there. Noticed today that clutch pedal had no consistancy as far as throw. Sometimes easier to push down, than other times.
Noticed that vibration was more apparent when accelerating, and disappeared when off the throttle and "coastin" , but still in gear. Any and every experience similiar, or close, would be greatly appreciated. Gonna tear apart this weekend, but want to have all parts available, if necessary. Sorry for the novel.

PEACE THE MUTT

Mombo..I'd be checkin the Pilot bearing ,also checkin the U-joints in the driveshaft..I know you marked the shaft..and F'ed it and replaced it again(read your stuff earlier) ..and also check your transmission mounts and Diffy mount while you are there..are you sure all the bolts are in the trans mount?..Check the input shaft bearing on the transmission..and I'm wonderin why your Replacement Clutch disc is Bigger..hope some of that may help you out DOG..peace..misterstyx!

Thanks for the input. Being clutch stupid, why wouldn't the disc and the flywheel be the same in the first place. Wouldn't a larger "contact" surface area be better in the long run? And I did also replace the input shaft bearing. I know of that because the parts store gave me a differential bearing by mistake.

Thanks again.

Most vibrations are worse/less at specific RPM's.
If it's worse at certain engine RPM's in most gears, it's engine/clutch.
If it's worse at certain road speeds, it's drive shaft or diff.

...what is the condition of your driveshafts U-joints?

...sounds a lot like what's going on in my FWD car w/ bad CV joints...
