first off, you want to get a dermel and cut the front of the ftp. then just bondo and fill it in. sand it down.. i got one of mine done a long time in like 2 days. good luck to you.

Is that car driven? Does it not have headlights at all? Looks weird, but good.

I took them off with photoshop.

It looks kind of odd w/o head lights and no ftp's. I was bored and Im too lazy to put head lights back on it .

Ive been thinking about this a lot. Ive really been considering pulling all the paint off my car (silver) and using a flat black rattle can to repaint it. Should look a lot like primer (but be a bit more durable+ water proof). It wont be as strong as real paint, but I really like flat colors / dark primers. Primer is just too weak though... I mean that **** comes off with a few wipes w/ 300 grit sand paper.

Yes... I know, but that's not as FUN! Ok, maybe my idea of fun is a little skewed.

I think the FTP's is one of many styling cue's that make the FC as unique looking as it is I actually like the Red FC a lot better than if it would be "modified"... But I guess thats just personal preference

Oh yea... ACTION RT, can't wait to see the FD lights on the bumper! I can see it looking nice as hell already

How I did mine:

1. I sanded the inside and outside of the FTP area down to the bumper plastic.

2. I made spacers to mount the FTP lens to make them almost flush with bumper

3. I then took 2 step epoxy and glued them in place.

4. I used very little bondo to fill in the gaps on the front.

5. I used bumper repair compound and putty coat (available at automotive body shop supply stores) as the final layer

It's been over 2 years without any problems but then I do live in Los Angeles ... where the weather doesn't get too hot or cold.

Actually .... it's a poor picture ....the color doesn't look mismatched in person and I'm also planning to have the car repainted this summer so I didn't care if the spot job was perfect.

But I do feel like I should thank you for the put-down while trying to help you (by answering your question) .... I'm not even sure why I waste my time trying to help people in this forum sometimes

I never said your information was not helpful guy. I just said your bumper didnt match in the picture. You just admitted it doesnt, so whats the problem? The car does look good though.

lay off the guy, whenever you paint one body panel and dont blend in the adjoining areas it wont match 100%. With some paints even if you were to use the same can of paint later on down the road to make a repair it might not match. He answered your question and instead of repying with a thank you, you throw that rattle can comment at him, get some class.
