Filling body holes from spoiler
Hey gang,
I just removed the S5 spoiler from my FC and wanted to see if anyone had advice about the best way to cover or fill in the mounting holes that were left behind. While this is a track car the the fix doesn't have to be showroom-perfect, I would like to hear about options that are better than "just cover it up in racing tape".
Thanks,
-bill

You can try a few things, the only one that would really work and come out good though is to weld in new metal on the holes. Another option would be fiberglass, you need to fiberglass the top and the bottom of the hole, create a small pocket for body filler, sand til level with the rest of the body, then paint. If you chose the fiberglass method, be careful, that **** is messy.
I'm all about doing things right the first time so you should bring your car to a body shop or a small welding shop and ask them how much to weld in the holes and grind down the excess. Shouldn't be alot at all. Then from there use body filler and sand til even with the rest of the body, then paint.
