Recall or no, dealerships are required to service any faulty seatbelts for free as it is a required safety feature.
I had an integra and i put new seats in it, and the seatbelts didnt clip into the new seat's buckle, i took it to honda and they had to put new seatbelts in that would clip under federal law

I had this entire problem just recently. But I got it done. My A pillar was cracked from the begining so I didn't care much about it.
All in all, don't let these mazda dudes rip you off.
Life time warranties mean LIFE TIME. If our cars are still running, they better give us those seatbelts!!

If you don't get resolution from the dealer (after talking with service manager and general manager), contact Mazda North America at 800-222-5500.
Have you name, address, phone, VIN, mileage, dealer name and city ready.
This may just be for warranty stuff, but I think recalls should meet the same standards.

Dunno, the coils went out on my 7 so I wasn't able to take it up there on Friday. I'm picking up a new set of coils today and taking it to them. I'll let you know what happens now that I have paperwork in hand.

Yep. I'm almost considering buying some crap trim from the classies to put in for them to break... Not very nice but it'll be their fault and they've been extremely rude for about 3 months straight...

Yeah good point. Every now and again you find some good trim pieces. It doesn't hurt to check though, you never know when you might find some deals to save you a few bucks!

Try contacting the consumer protection division of your state attorney general's office. They should be able to help you sort through the responsibility issues at no cost to you. If it is a lifetime warranty deal, they may also contact the dealership and get them headed in the legal direction. How the AG behaves varies from state to state, but that's where I'd start.

Whenever my car is at a dealership / shop I usually get the tech to do a walk around and point out any damage he can see before commencing work (as well as photos)
If you make no progress with the Technician, politely ask to speak to his boss. By the time the boss arrives it would be a fair guess that he has been informed of a difficult customer. Start by asking him how he is going (ice breaker/Disarmer) before repeating what you have told the technician.
If you have still made no progress by this point inform the dealership of their legal obligations. Make sure you can prove any statements you make (legal acts, contractual obligations ect). I would still make it clear that you do not wish to push the matter further that it needs to go and only want what you are justly entitled to.

After reading all the posts, I don’t think you were blown of because of your age. I would returning to the dealership with the documentation Turbo II provided (ring first to make an appointment). Be assertive but not arrogant; don’t say anything like “I’m not moving until you fix my car”.
