a few turbo setup questions
I've been doing some searching, trying to get some info about blowthrough turbo setups - I'm trying to figure out if I can put together an economical setup for my project. The motor is a 4 port 13B with 12a plates, SE housings, and S5 rotors. it is going to have a fairly large streetport. I would like to throw down around 250-300 at the wheels. I'm thinking about using an s5 turbo and manifold. what do you guys think? if I use the s5 with no modifications will it flow enough for that power level? what boost pressure is the wastegate set for stock? also, the motor has no racing internals - hardened stationaries, 3 window bearings, no extra doweling. Should I be alright with standard internals? any other suggestions/tips about the setup would be great. TIA

300 to the wheels will be difficult with that turbo. Much easier on one of the hybrids. Standard internals will be fine, but of course, you will need to pay attention to fuel and timing. Best results will come from using a standalone EMS (Haltech, Microtech, Megaquirt, etc.). Lots of turbo-NA info in the FAQ. While it doesn't cover your exact setup, it should provide lots of info.
