few questions for my swap, injectors, manifolds
Hey guys im collectign everythign for my turbo project and have a few question I cant seem to find the answers to.
1) I have a 86 base, when they installed the s5 engine they stopped using the resisitor block at the front passenger fender. DO i need high or low impedance injectors?
2)Will the airpump block off plate and the cold start blockoff plate from a s4 fit the tii LIM?
3) not direclty related but how much would painting a intercooler deminish its performance?
Damn I had more but I cant rememebr them, ill post them later if I do. Thanks in advance, Im suprised I havent been getting flamed for my turbo-n/a questions lately.

1) If you're no longer using the resistor pack, and I assume your injectors must've been changed too when it was removed, then you are using high impedance injectors.
2) I assume by airpump you mean ACV blockoff plate, this is definitely different between turbo and n/a. The cold start, you mean sub zero start assist? I don't know if they're different between turbo and n/a, from pictures I've seen they look the same, but I'm not sure.
3) No clue.

I assume you mean will the ACV block off plate and the sub-zero injector blockoff plate from an NA fit the Turbo LIM? Sub-zero yes, ACV no (NA and Turbo are different).
Not enough to worry about. I read an article about stripping the black paint off a stock IC, and the intake temp actually went up a few degrees.

^^thats interesting, Im still deciding if its to rice to paint my FMIC flat black for sleeper and security reasons, but not at the cost of performance^^

Paint it with some high temp paint. It won't make a difference. At least not a noticeable one. I painted the rad on my 86 and street ported the motor without the engine temps climbing at all. Can't see it mattering on the fmic. I'll be painting mine once I get my turbo kit finished.
