few questions about exterior back of 90TII
I have a 90 TII and just wanted to ask a few questions.
1. Is there suppose to be a piece of plastic covering the back windshield wiper screw? It looks to be made out of rust now instead of iron/steel. I have read the manual and didn't see any part there but I assume there is something or all of them would rust. Is there a part that covers the screw and can I still get one?
2. There is a "connector clasp" that connects the weather stripping on the outside of the glass hatch located kinda in the middle bottom of the glass. It's starting to come lose and peel up. I would like to nip it in the bud before it completely comes lose and the weatherstripping starts peeling or whatever. I haven't seen any parts in the manual and was curious what I should do to keep this from coming off. glue? if y'all don't know what I'm talking about I can get a pic. Just look at the back of your cars and look at where the strips meet on the back glass.
3. My antenna was bent and came off about a year ago. Is it worth it to buy a new antenna or is the motor likely destroyed...(rain and stuff has probably been getting in that hole for the past year...)
Thanks all for the help. This is one of the best help communities I've ever been in and I really do appreciate your expertise.

1) That piece is usually attached to the wiper arm itself. It is a cap that pivots and snaps into place to cover the screw you mentioned. If it's not on your wiper arm, try a junkyard or the forum's classifieds for a replacement.
2) That part is still available from Mazda. I could provide a part number, but I am on my cell phone and away from home right now. Someone else can chime in with the number or any competent person at your local Mazda dealer's parts counter can look it up for you. It just snaps in place, yours is most likely just too old to do its job anymore.
3) It is worth just trying a new antenna mast. That part is also available from Mazda if needed. The motor cover can come off if you would like to take a look at things. That would be a good idea anyway as there is usually remnants of the old mast in there, which is a common failure.

Nothing to see here.
