Few problems with Speedo

I never paid too much attention to it before but now I notice and its bothering me, when I accelerate the speedometer needle kindof bounces. Would it be the needle itself if loose or is there a connection I should be looking at?

Also does your TPS deal with your idle at all or is it mainly for accelerating. SOMEtimes I have a "bouncing" idle and it stalls

Your speedo cable is probably loose either at the transmission or behind the gauge cluster. Readjusting the TPS correctly will probably stop the bouncing idle.

Speedo cable is about the fail - replace it.

The speedo is mechanically driven, and it has no bearing on any of the vehicles functions except for J-spec vehicles with the 180kph speed-cut.

I have a problem with my speedo getting lost between the cracks....... But i agree with RETed your cable is about to fail. BUt does any one know if there is a seal on the cable drive or the cable it self? My cable is dumping oil inside the car..... Thanks!
