Specifically, which harness are you talking about?

The headlight harness with the relay added is correct but the harness that plugs into my turning switch is different. My old one has one extra wire.

Still have it that is what I used to compare the turning signal part of the harness...Guess I could use my old harness (s4)and just solder in the light harness side of the newer harness (s5).

Both the S4 and S5 harness for the turn signals each have 9 wires. Each should have G/W, B/R, R/W, R/G, B, B/Y, G/R, R/G, R/Y. So did you prove that the S4 switch was damaged or not?

Nope I double checked and the s5 has only 8 wires. And the color of the wires are in different positions in the plug. I have taken pictures and can send them to you if you wish.

First post shows the plug configuration for both S4 and S5. And did you prove or not prove that the S4 switch is damaged?

Do you think I can use my original s4 harness with burnt "light switch plug cut out" and replaced with the good light switch plug from the s5 that I bought. My s4 turning plug is in good shape with no burnt spots. I believe the light switch plugs are wired the same. Seems like it would work,

The plug that connects to the turn switch/dimmer switch is CR-03 and only one of these wires goes to the headlight switch w/that wire being the Red/White wire. The rest of the wires run to an intermediate plug called FC-02.

Satch I want to thank you again for all your help. The switch came in and after plugging it in my turning signals and headlights work fine. I am not sure but it seems that using the s5 wire harness did work fine with my light switch but shorted out my turning switch on my s4 switches. I did compare both turning plugs and the wires seem to almost be reversed on the turning plug. It really is a shame that so many people on ebay describe the wire harness as good for s4 and s5 and they are not identical and have posted pictures of both a few posts up.
